Some of our services have changed, and will continue to do so, in response to COVID-19. The best way to keep updated is by following our Facebook Page or checking this webpage. The health and wellbeing of our employees and those who use the Barwon Coast coastal reserve is of paramount importance to us.

Beach Use Regulations as at March 30 2020

Until further notice the use of beaches on the Barwon Coast is subject to the following regulations:

NO PUBLIC GATHERINGS. A distance of 1.5 metres must be kept between yourself and others at all times.
YOU CAN EXERCISE. With members of your household or with one other person you are permitted to surf, swim, run, walk or exercise if you follow physical distancing requirements.
YOU CAN BE FINED. Victoria Police are monitoring beaches and issuing on the spot fines to individuals who break physical distancing rules.

These measures are under direction from the Chief Health Officer Victoria and in accordance with DHHS protocols around physical distancing and public gatherings to
reduce the spread of coronoavirus.

Temporary Closure of facilities

Following the directions of the Chief Health Officer Victoria we have closed our caravan parks as of Wednesday 25th March until further notice.

We have also decided to close access to a range of our public facilities until further notice as of Friday 27th March.

Closures will apply to the following Barwon Coast facilities:
• all drinking fountains
• all playgrounds
• all outdoor showers
• all BBQ’s
• 4 low-use public toilets.

The toilet block closures have enabled our staff to increase the frequency of cleaning and regular disinfection of touch zones in our main toilet blocks. We will change our services further as the need arises and thank our community for their understanding during this time.

When on the coast we ask that everyone please do their part – abide by the closures, maintain physical distancing and no public gatherings.
