Foreshore Event Permits
Planning a festival, sporting or community event along the Barwon Coast? Then you require a Foreshore Event Permit.
Barwon Coast issue permits for events on the land we manage, to ensure the protection of natural and cultural values, equity of access for all, and to reduce the impacts of use.
Permit fees & approvals:
An events a permit fee of $162 (incl. GST) applies. For major events, fees are discussed on application. Not-for-profit organisations and community-based events may be exempted from any fees.
Completion of the application form is not confirmation of your event booking. A confirmation email and invoice will be sent within 10 days of your submission.

Event Permit Application
You will need to include

Public Liability Insurance (required)
A copy of a Certificate of Currency showing valid public liability insurance. You must have a minimum of $20m public liability insurance coverage for the event, noting Barwon Coast and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) as interested parties. -
Site Plan (required)
Include a site plan showing where the event will be taking place, and where any support crew and equipment will be kept. -
Risk Management Plan (required)
