We are rolling out new large-format Conservation Zone signage to help beach goers care for our beautiful coast.

These signs provide guidance on what you can and can’t do around our fragile sand dunes so they can continue to provide important habitat for plants and animals, as well as providing a wind and erosion barrier for our towns. 

The signs also let visitors know that this is Wadawurrung Country, that at the dunes are a place of cultural significance, and provide the Wadawurrung names for the pictured local wildlife.

We look forward to the day that we don’t need to put up signs to help people understand how to care for sand dunes, but in the meantime, we’ll continue to do everything we can to protect these vital components of our beaches.
