Community consultation now closed: draft Biodiversity and Mature Tree strategies

Published on 10 November 2025

Community consultation on the draft Barwon Coast Biodiversity Strategy 2025–35 and Mature Tree Strategy has now closed.

Over the past four weeks, we’ve heard from community members, volunteer and conservation groups, and other stakeholders through our consultation meeting with volunteer groups, online and in-person community information sessions, the online survey and submissions received via email.

Next, we’ll analyse and consider all feedback received as we refine and finalise the strategies. A Community Engagement Summary Report will be published on our website to close the loop, outlining the key themes we heard and how community input has been reflected in the final documents.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read the draft strategies and share your thoughts. We’re fortunate to have such an engaged and passionate community helping us care for the coast.
