Discovery Centre open over April school holidays

Published on 2 April 2026

The Barwon Coast Discovery Centre will be open to the community across the April school holidays, offering a fun and educational experience for locals and visitors of all ages.

Open from 1–4pm on Wednesdays and Sundays (5, 8, 12, 15 and 19 April), the Discovery Centre invites visitors to learn more about the coast through interactive and hands-on activities. The Centre will also be open on Easter Sunday.

Visitors can explore displays on local wildlife, plants and shipwrecks, try the popular ‘seek and find’ activity, enjoy colouring in, and get hands-on with the marine touch table.

The Discovery Centre is proudly supported by the passionate volunteers from Friends of the Lobster Pot, who generously give their time to share their knowledge and create a welcoming and engaging experience for the community.

We thank Friends of the Lobster Pot for their ongoing contribution and encourage everyone to pop in and discover more about our unique coastal environment.
