Barwon Heads – Barwon River Boating Channel-North of Barwon Heads Vehicle Bridge
Channel Safety Realignment – Stage 2
Barge Towage and Beacon Piling Operations – Barwon River

 

Date: Effective from 20 May 2025 

Details: Mariners are advised that barge towage and beacon piling operations will take place in the Barwon Heads river north of the Barwon Heads vehicle bridge from Tuesday 20 May, 2025 for a period of approximately 3 weeks. Piling barge GEMINAE UVI1461535, 6.4m length x 3.2m beam will be used for piling operations with high powered towage vessels up to 8m conducting towage operations.

Approximate positions of the piling barge are as follows (WGS84):

Mariners are advised to navigate with extreme caution in the vicinity of the beacon piling works.
