Partial pathway closure – Ocean Grove Main Beach

Published on 21 February 2026

Community members are advised of a temporary pathway closure at Ocean Grove Main Beach, just down the hill from the Dunes Kiosk, while important safety works are carried out.

When:
Wednesday 25 February to mid-afternoon Thursday 26 February

What’s happening:
Contractors will remove the existing red brick paving and replace it with asphalt.

The current brick surface has deteriorated and is no longer considered fit for purpose. These works are being undertaken to improve safety for everyone using the pathway.

The affected section of pathway, as indicated on the map, will be fully signed and temporarily closed for the duration of the works. Please follow all signage and use the track down the other side of Karrak Playground.

We thank the community for their understanding while these essential safety improvements are completed.
