You will work collaboratively with teams across Barwon Coast, Wadawurrung Traditional Owners, schools, community organisations and other stakeholders to deliver initiatives aligned with our environmental and community priorities.

 About You

We are looking for someone who combines a genuine commitment to sustainability with strong organisational skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant qualification in environmental sustainability, environmental science, natural resource management, environmental education, community development or a related field, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience coordinating sustainability, environmental, volunteer or community engagement initiatives.
  • Strong planning, project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive partnerships.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental sustainability principles and their practical application.
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and identify practical opportunities for improvement.

Experience in environmental education, community engagement or volunteer program coordination will be highly regarded.

 Why Join Barwon Coast?

At Barwon Coast, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the protection and enjoyment of our coastal environment while working with people who are committed to making a positive difference.
